Anxious woman

Anxiety

Anxiety takes many forms. None of it is comfortable. People can be limited by anxiety to take risks, to socialize, to meet their goals. Anxiety may be experienced as constant and “free floating”, or vary with stress, or develop into panic attacks or phobias. Anxiety can be associated with many stressors, and co-exist with depression.

It is possible to decrease the hold that anxiety has on you. It may take time, and it definitely takes some determination. Working with a professional can help you keep perspective of things that seem overwhelming, and to access your own inner resources. It is never too late to learn the skills, and to develop the confidence to work through the anxiety to get to a better place.
